In John 16:12-15: Jesus said “There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.” I ministered this message on the air Saturday morning on 760 am the Gospel.
In these current times prophets are rising left to right, some of God and some not of God, that’s why we have to be so careful who we lend our ears too; however, here’s the thing, the Holy Spirit is not just speaking to His true prophets, but He is also speaking to his true believers, those of course that are listening.
True prophets doesn’t speak of their own will or from their own mind, but they speak from the mind of the Holy Spirit who receives His downloads from Jesus and then download into us. Same goes for those who don’t per-say walk in the prophetic calling, you don’t have to be a prophet in order to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit; however, you do need to listen, just like the prophets.
Yes, there are certain things that God will reveal only to His true prophets as stated in Amos 3:7, but for all His children He said in Revelation 2:17 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. What do you do when you are in need of a right now word but there is no prophet around to help you? Guess what, the only option is to tune into the Holy Spirit for yourself and that starts with getting into the presence of the Lord.
There is nothing like being in the presence of God, it makes you so open and venerable to hear what he has to say when His Holy Spirit over takes you; therefore, stop running here and there with your itching ears every time you hear there is a prophet in town and get into the presence of the Lord to hear him for yourself, for He is speaking but are you listening?
Hebrews 3:7-8 NLT “That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.”
