Kefia Denise Rollerson, the eldest daughter of Bishop Keith A. Rollerson and Lady Cheryl Rollerson, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. While singing in church starting at the tender age of 2, Kefia’s parents knew that she was called to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. At the age of 16, Kefia accepted her calling and has been humbly ministering to God’s people for over 15 Years with her powerful instrumental gift.
In 2013 Rollerson was blessed with the opportunity to compete on BET’s hit gospel competitive television show, Sunday Best. Accompanied and mentored by some of Gospel Music’s greatest; Kefia’s anointing, vocal ability, energetic spirit and genuine love for God compelled the judges week after week. Rollerson landed one of the top final contestant spots on the show. After thousands of viewers voted; Rollerson walked away from the show with the title of Sunday Best Season 6 Runner Up. When an interviewer asked Rollerson how her experience was with Sunday Best she replied, ” Sunday Best was one of the best experiences of my life. I am forever grateful for Kirk Franklin and what the show’s national platform did for my career.”
Since Sunday Best, Kefia has been continuously blessed with opportunities to travel the world, sharing the message of Jesus Christ and His salvation through song. Rollerson has also been diligently working on her highly anticipated debut album which will be released in 2016.
Outside of Kefia’s Music Ministry her passion and heart is geared towards supporting the lives of youth and helping them make positive choices. Rollerson desires to open a Young Adult Development Center in the future; a place where young adults, ages 16 – 25, can come and have an outlet outside of school and home. Her vision is also to support those who are not yet comfortable in the church environment, providing natural and spiritual guidance. Being an overcomer of several challenges during her adolescent years, Kefia has become passionate about sharing her testimonies with hopes of guiding, encouraging, and motivating young individuals to live life to the fullest for Christ.
Having a humble heart and a genuine will to serve God’s people is what she prides herself in, and using her gifts to encourage and expand the Kingdom of God is her focus.
“I’m a living witness that every answer in life will not be a yes, but God will remain faithful to the promises He has spoken over your life if you continue to believe.”
